Also, I missed 2 months straight of school and the only grade that fell considerably was math =/ All the other grades stayed the same or got knock down from A to A-, and some even rose.

So, a bunch of my friends went out without me last night, and didn't invite me, and I only found out about it this morning when they bragged about what a great time they had. Excellent. Crying or Very sad

That has happened to me many, many times. I know how you feel. Sad

Do you normally struggle with math or was it just because you missed school? It seems to me like the majority of people either don't like it or struggle with it. I wish it wasn't a subject.

I hate math. I was going to drop it next year, but my guidance counselor convinced me not to. So I'm taking probability & statistics, the easiest math. Anything besides algebra/calc.

Fair enough. Algebra/calculus/trigonometry are the only things I learned at school that I've never had a practical use for in real life.

I used to get very high grade in Math until I started the IB's Higher Level Math. I think my teacher was teaching everything too fast without me getting enough time to absorb it, so my grades were already low before I missed school. But after that the grades finally dropped from D to F.

Don't even get me started on how much I hated math in high school. Rolling Eyes
I was afraid I'd do badly in math at college, but then I discovered that in my program (music), math wasn't required. Now I've forgotten much of the math I knew.

I just played 3 hours of a videogame without saving and it crashed on me. I almost finished the level too which would have auto-saved.

I can sympathize. I hate doing a lot of work and then losing it somehow and having to redo it all.

Not really. I know for sure that I can have fun redo-ing it, but the way I played that game was so perfect I doubt I would be able to achieve the same score (it was a city building game).

With real work it is much more frightening.

I hate it when I go to a crowded eating place (food court or cafeteria) and some of the people there have already finished eating, and instead of getting up and leaving so that someone else can have their table, they're sitting there and playing with their electronic toys (cell phone, iPod, tablet, computer, whatever.)

I've been without my car for nearly 3 months now. First there was a 3 week delay when the insurer and the mechanic kept blaming each other for losing paperwork that delayed the start of the repairs, now another blame game has broken out between the mechanic and the parts supplier because the bumper bar ordered (my car is a Citroen and the parts take 5 weeks to come from France) is the wrong one. I'll never buy a Citroen again, which is a shame cos it's actually a nice car, it just takes forever to get repaired.

I have to live without a car all the time now that my mom's left. And I'm supposed to learn how to drive.

I can't even practice driving with my mother anymore, because she had the use of her car taken away after she was driving too slowly. So I'm pretty much screwed.

I can't go into details here, but I got left out of something again. I hate being forgotten/left out of things by my so-called friends. You'd think, after the number of times it's happened to me, I'd be used to it by now. I guess I am sort of used to it. But holy hell, it still hurts.

I'm drinking Dr Pepper. I wish it was something stronger.

I think there's a reason there's no alcohol in my home.

The only one here at home who has alcohol is my dad. And no, I don't steal from him. Smile

There's no alcohol in my home cos I don't drink. I should hasten to add that I do not judge people who do, it's just not my thing (been there, done that).

Wine tastes good, why would anyone judge another for drinking fermented drink?

Plenty of people do, CW. People judge each other for all sorts of things. I live by the old saying, "Do what you will but harm none".

I wonder if there's more than harm involved.

I hate my friend's memory problems. He says it is from all of the concussions he got from playing sports, as well as drunken blackouts and overdoses [from a long, long time ago..] I know it's not his fault, but he can't remember a lot of stuff. He has to save our texts and Facebook messages to remind himself of stuff I've told him. About a month ago I confided in him something serious that I've never told anyone, and it was really hard to do and I started crying. He doesn't remember. Today we were having a serious conversation and I told him something else that I have difficulty talking about. He listened to me and was understanding, as always, but it hurts to know that he might not remember this either. Everything else about him is amazing; he's a great person. And he tells me a lot of personal stuff too. I know stuff about him that no one else does. And I know he feels guilty about his bad memory. But it upsets me a lot, and I try not to show it because I know it makes him feel bad. It just hurts to know that I've told him stuff that no one knows about...and, in a way, STILL no one knows about, because he can't remember!
