Oh, I forgot about this little place. I've enjoyed the show the past two weeks. It makes Tuesdays so much better. I know a lot of people probably wish and hope that it's exactly like Whose Line, but they have to realize that Whose Line probably won't come back and should enjoy what they can get. I do see bits of Whose Line and Improv-a-ganza in the show. Really isn't too much of a stretch to see it. But anyhow, I've enjoyed it. It's been too long not having any new improv on the TV. Smile

Right - so what's wrong with the celebrities playing it?

I think the problem is in what we expect of the celebrities. Moreover what the celebrities expect us to expect of them. I personally find it more fun to see audience members give it a good honest try.

You may not want to read this post if you haven't seen the fourth episode yet.

I just finished watching the fourth episode and I have to say that it's my least favourite episode yet.
I've never liked Ricky Gervais, just because I don't ever find anything that he says funny, but he was horrible in this episode. He kept looking at the performers in such a demeaning fashion, as if to be claiming that they weren't funny, or that they weren't as funny as him.

He also kept making these 'jokes' about whether what he was seeing was actually happening, which, whether he realised it or not, was also demeaning towards the performers, as this is their job. Now I know that they can all take a joke, but it annoyed me.

This is the main problem that I have with this format, as when I don't like the guest, I don't like the episode as much.

I just skipped reading your post after the first sentence. What time does this show go on air? Because that just means I've missed the last two.

I figured that I would be better off saying that at the start, I know I hate hearing people talking about bits of the shows when I haven't seen them yet.

The show airs two episodes every Tuesday from 9/8c. I can't watch them on TV in my country, but I was able to watch them on Hulu.

Huh, and I can watch them on TV but not on Hulu.

I'm getting pretty sick of this stuff happening.

'I bring unfortunate tidings. ABC has pulled the last two episodes of "Trust Us With Your Life" from the schedule due to ratings and also due to competing for ratings with the summer Olympics. It is unknown at this time if the last two episodes will air at a later time.'

This was posted on the Trust Us With Your Life Facebook page, which can be seen here:
http://www.facebook.com/trustuswithyourlife

I encourage you all to contact ABC here:
http://abc.go.com/site/contact-us

Personally, I just want them to show the last two episodes.

Here are the ratings for the show anyway:
http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/trust-us-with-your-life-season-one-ratings-23739/

And here's an article which explains that ABC are going to show old episodes of Wipeout instead:
http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/trust-us-with-your-life-pulled-cancelled-23877/

Sorry for all the links.

WHAAAT? Am I the only one who hates Wipeout?

Also, I don't understand that ratings system.

I don't know much about it either, but take the first episode:

It got a rating of 1.1 in the target audience of 18 - 49 year olds. This isn't very good, and it gets worse from there. It also attracted 3.34 million viewers, which I don't think is very good for a tv show that airs in primetime.

Basically, fewer people were watching it every episode and each episode was rated either the same as or more poorly than the preceding episode.

At least ABC pulling the episodes doesnt have to do with Fred Willard pulling.... something else. In a theatre.

Actually, I'm willing to bet that is exactly why ABC has pulled the episodes, they just aren't about to admit it. Seriously, they could have aired the last two eps and just not renewed the show. This whole thing has made me quite cross, I enjoyed the show.

Yeah, I would have to agree with Mochrie99 and say that it definitely has something to do with the arrest, even if it wasn't directly the cause of the show being pulled, ratings may have possibly gone down as a result of the arrest (at least in the eyes of the broadcaster).

I'm hoping that Wipeout got terrible ratings last night, and ABC will realise that Trust Us With Your Life can do just as well.

Why would ABC wait until now, when that news has already been forgotten by many (and quite overshadowed by the Colorado theater tragedy)? Jonathan Mangum tweeted about the episodes not airing due to the Olympics competition, which I think makes a lot more sense.

Also, even though it hasn't aired, the David Hasselhoff has been posted on Hulu.

Well I'm happy now because the episodes have been released on Hulu. I haven't watched them yet, but that's all I really wanted was for them to be released.

Unfortunately for Canadians like myself, that means nothing, as we're not able to view Hulu vids at all. Which is a bummer all around. Restrictions like this are absolutely frustrating, not mention infuriating, considering that Canadians can watch U.S. television via cable and/or satellite.

I agree completely, and I know exactly what you mean, as I'm subject to many of these restrictions where I live as well, but I'm mainly just happy that the episodes have been released at all.

All of the episodes are available to buy in HD quality on iTunes in the U.S. if anyone's interested:
http://itunes.apple.com/us/tv-season/trust-us-your-life-season/id538562310

Also, the show is officially on 'hiatus', meaning that it has not been cancelled yet. Although I'm still sceptical, buying the episodes on iTunes will help the show.

Jamaica doesn't have Hulu either, but we get American TV. Also:

What was that all about? What happened?
